Women's Self Defense*
Join a welcoming, empowering space where women of all experience levels can train, learn self-defense, and build confidence together. Our women’s-only class is led by Meg Whitley, a passionate and skilled instructor who focuses on creating a positive, supportive environment on the mats.
Whether you’re brand new to Jiu-Jitsu or looking to sharpen your skills, Meg’s teaching style emphasizes practical techniques, real-world self-defense, and personal growth.

Situational Drilling
Build sharper instincts and faster reactions through focused, scenario-based training. In this class, you'll drill specific positions and transitions designed to improve your timing, decision-making, and technique under pressure. It’s all about purposeful reps that translate directly to live rolls and competition.
All levels welcome.
Sasquatch Grappling Club
Sasquatch Grappling Club Wrestling (Ages 5+)
Develop strength, discipline, and mat skills with our new Sasquatch Grappling Club Wrestling Program led by Coach Greg Schultz. With decades of experience spanning high school, collegiate, Army, and international Greco-Roman wrestling, Greg brings world-class coaching to Signal Mountain.
This program focuses on:
Wrestling fundamentals (stance, shots, takedowns, escapes, pins)
Developing athleticism, balance, and mat awareness
Building confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship
Preparing kids for wrestling competition and Jiu-Jitsu crossover

Gi Self Defense Fundamentals
This class is designed for all experience levels and focuses on practical, real-world self-defense using the foundational techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll gain tools to protect yourself, stay calm under pressure, and feel stronger in your body.
We’ll cover essential grips, escapes, takedowns, and positional control — all while training in the traditional Gi to develop better discipline, technique, and awareness.
Expect a welcoming, encouraging environment with clear instruction, steady progress, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and grow.
Kids BJJ
Empower your child with confidence, discipline, and self-defense in our Kids BJJ class. Designed for fun and learning, this class introduces young martial artists to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a safe and supportive environment. Watch them grow in strength, resilience, and teamwork right here in Signal Mountain! Kids ages 7-14 are eligible to participate.
Gi BJJ
Experience the tradition and technical precision of Gi BJJ. Learn how to control and submit opponents using grips and leverage in the classic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform. Whether you're a woman looking to enhance self-defense skills or a martial arts enthusiast from Chattanooga, this class is your gateway to mastering the art.
Competition BJJ
Push your limits in Competition BJJ, tailored for grapplers aiming to dominate tournaments. Train alongside motivated athletes as we focus on strategy, intensity, and mindset for the competitive stage. Perfect for those in Signal Mountain and Chattanooga who are ready to excel in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and mixed martial arts!
Open Mat BJJ
Explore, experiment, and grow during Open Mat BJJ! This unstructured session is ideal for refining techniques, rolling with partners, and building camaraderie with our Jiu-Jitsu family. Women, beginners, and experienced practitioners are all welcome to join this community-driven practice in Signal Mountain. Let’s roll together!
No Gi Submission Grappling
Fast-paced. Technical. Competitive.
This intermediate-level class is designed for students with at least one stripe who are ready to elevate their game. We’ll focus on advanced positional control, transitions, and high-percentage submissions in a no-gi setting — where timing, pressure, and precision matter most.
Expect to sharpen your takedowns, leg entanglements, guard passing, and submission chains with an emphasis on movement, strategy, and situational awareness. This class encourages controlled intensity, deeper conceptual learning, and lots of live rounds.
Whether you're preparing to compete or just looking to push your skillset, this is where you level up.
Prerequisite: Must be a 1-stripe white belt or higher.
Self Defense Striking
Learn to hit with purpose — and defend with confidence.
This class teaches practical striking skills focused on real-world self defense. You’ll train basic punches, kicks, blocks, and movement while building timing, distance control, and awareness.
No experience needed. Just show up, work hard, and leave stronger.
